Welcome to Unit 4 Vocabulary

Here's how to use unit 3 & 4 in a conversation.

READ so you know their meaning.

CREAM

The part of whole milk that contains fat. Butter is made from cream.

SUGAR

A sweet substance in a crystal form that comes mainly from sugar cane and sugar beets. Sugar is used to flavor, preserve, and ferment food.

SALT

A white substance that is found in sea water and in the earth. Salt is used for preserving and seasoning foods.

POUR

To cause to flow in a steady stream.

PLASTIC BAGS

An artificial substance made from certain kinds of chemicals that can be easily shaped when soft, used to hold things; sack; pouch.

MIXTURE

Something that is made by two or more things that are mixed together.

OPEN

Allowing something or someone to pass through or to get to the inside; not shut or closed.

CLOSED

To stop up; shut.

FREEZER

A very cold refrigerator that freezes foods or stores frozen foods.
