These are ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY
When are they used?
Always = all the time
Usually = not as often as always
Sometimes = unpredictable
hardly ever = almost never
never = hasn't/haven't at all
ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY can be used by anyone.
Open WB p. 14. Take a look at the bottom checks of this chart.
4 checks means always
3 checks means usually
2 checks means sometimes
a check means hardly ever
a cross means never
Example: Jim
Jim always drinks milk. (There are 4 checks in drinks milk, so that means always)
Jim usually eats fish.
Jim always plays ball.
Jim hardly ever goes to the park.
